I don't normally watch awards shows anymore in my "old" age, but Sunday night I decided to go ahead and sit down and watch the American Music Awards. Janet was performing so that was about the only thing that I was checking for this year. After her performance, which I really enjoyed by the way, I just left the awards on cause I really couldn't find anything else to watch and I was savoring my hulu playlist for later. I watched GaGa perform her usual strangeness on the stage and honestly wasn't scared at the end like I was when she was covered in blood at the VMA's. It wasn't too bad. I got a good chuckle out of J-Lo falling on her ass and her sorry attempt at pronouncing Louboutin's (No its not pronounced like she was singing). Sometime after that I got tired of watching and went off to do better things with my time...Like catching up on my online reading over at dlisted.com. I completely missed the Adam Lambert performance and thank God I did. But I also found out that I missed Taylor Swift winning the "Artist of the Year" award. She beat out Lady GaGa, Beyonce, and Michael Jackson...Yes I had to read that again just to make sure....Lady GaGa, Beyonce, and Michael Jackson. So after I picked my jaw up off the floor and got done screaming WTF a few times, I decided to see what my favorite bloggers were saying about the situation and Kid Fury over at "The Fury" hit the nail right on the head.

How on earth could this girl win over GaGa, Beyonce, and Michael Jackson?
